"It's 'Gantz 2'": New Yisrael Beiteinu recruit attacks Gadi Eizenkot
Meidan Bar, chairman of the Pilots Association who is running with Yisrael Beiteinu, criticized the Yashar! chairman at a campaign event. He stated: "Not every Chief of Staff can be a CEO."
Internal political battles: Meidan Bar, who recently joined Yisrael Beiteinu, criticized the ambitions of Yashar! chairman Gadi Eizenkot to serve as prime minister this Tuesday.
In his first statement at a campaign gathering in Petah Tikva, Bar explained why Avigdor Liberman, rather than Eizenkot, should be prime minister: "We have already had the Gantz story, and this is the same thing—it is 'Gantz 2.' Whoever leads politics in Israel must be capable of governing; not every Chief of Staff can be a CEO.
When I imagine the prime minister for whom I would fly to Iran, I imagine a person who has the experience and understands what every government ministry needs. There is one such person in Israel—Avigdor Liberman."
The gathering was also attended by party members MK Evgeny Soba, Givat Shmuel Mayor Yossi Brodny, and Sharon Sharabi.
Bar, a Lieutenant Colonel (res.) in the Air Force and a captain at El Al, will conclude his tenure as chairman of the Pilots Association in the coming days after seven years in the role.
