Blue and White disintegrates: Another MK leaves Gantz

The disintegration of Blue and White continues, and in parallel, the remaining members of the party in the Knesset are beginning to examine their steps ahead of the next election cycle. On Tuesday, MK Yael Ron Ben-Moshe, who was appointed about a month ago as head of the economic division of the Kibbutz Movement, announced her departure from the party. This comes after she denied reports of such a move a few weeks ago.

Ben-Moshe wrote in a Facebook post:

"An effort to create unity is worthy beyond measure, but in my opinion, in the current way and at this time, the effort might not only be in vain but could even cause damage."

She expressed gratitude to party leader Benny Gantz for the opportunity to engage in significant national-public work over the past six years. "Thanks to him, I was a partner in decisive national moments, as a coalition member during the rotation government during COVID, through the government of change, and also in the difficult past year in which the Knesset lost all restraint and balance," she noted.

Ben-Moshe emphasized that her decision is ideological and value-based, and she is not retiring from public work. "Beny, thank you for all this and for teaching me with your blood - Israel before everything," she added.

Blue and White stated: "We are building a strong list that will work for the establishment of a broad Zionist government." In recent days, the party attempted to recruit Ayelet Shaked, who maintains that she will not join any side without a large union of all players in the third bloc.

In just over a year, at least five Knesset members have left the party: Gadi Eisenkot (founded 'Yashar!'), Matan Kahana and Orit Farkash-Hacohen (joined Eisenkot), Eitan Ginzburg (joined Naftali Bennett), and Chili Tropper (founded the 'Beit Tzioni' party with Yoaz Hendel).
