National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir launched a scathing attack on senior police officials, directing sharp accusations at the head of the Intelligence and Investigations Directorate (Zamal), Deputy Commissioner Boaz Blat, and reiterating criticism against Police Commissioner Danny Levi.

Speaking in an interview with 103FM, Ben-Gvir claimed that Blat is acting as an agent for Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara to close cases and sweep matters under the rug. Ben-Gvir alleged that Blat withheld investigative materials from the Shin Bet regarding suspicions of election interference, branding him untruthful and asserting that he has taken control of the investigations directorate for his own purposes.

Expanding his criticism, Ben-Gvir turned his attention back to Police Commissioner Danny Levi, whom he previously praised. The minister claimed that Levi's shifting stance is the result of immense pressure from Attorney General Baharav-Miara, alleging she exerts control over him through intimidation during meetings. Ben-Gvir also pointed to past media reports regarding alleged zoning and construction violations by the police chief, accusing the legal establishment of using such matters to coerce senior law enforcement figures.

Police headquarters declined to issue a formal response to the minister's remarks.
