National Insurance Institute: August Benefit Payment Schedule
Starting August 12, the National Insurance Institute will begin distributing the first benefits of the month. Some recipients will see increased amounts following index updates, and certain payment dates have been adjusted due to the calendar.
The month of August has arrived, and the National Insurance Institute (Bituach Leumi) is distributing grants and benefits to hundreds of thousands of eligible Israelis. The ice website provides an update on the expected payment schedule, reporting deadlines, and the increase in average benefit amounts.
The first benefits to be credited this month are unemployment benefits and income support, scheduled for 12.8. The reporting and payment deadline for insurance contributions for the self-employed and employers, originally set for 15.8, falls on a Saturday and has been moved to 16.8.
Child allowances are set to reach accounts on 20.8. The remaining benefits, originally scheduled for 28.8 (a Friday), will be advanced by one day and paid on Thursday, 27.8.

Additionally, the National Insurance Institute revealed that average benefits have increased by 2.64% since the beginning of 2026 due to the rise in the Consumer Price Index. Following the latest update, the average benefit amount across all categories is approximately 5,280 NIS.
