Police officers from the Kiryat Gat station, guided by Southern District intelligence and supported by special units, have arrested two local residents on suspicion of involvement in a shooting incident that occurred in July.
The investigation was launched after a gunshot victim arrived independently at Barzilai Hospital but refused to cooperate with investigators or provide details regarding the circumstances of the incident. Consequently, the case was transferred to the Kiryat Gat investigation unit, which conducted a covert inquiry using advanced technological and intelligence-gathering methods.
As part of the investigation, detectives successfully deciphered the background of the incident and identified those involved. During an operation, one suspect was arrested while hiding in a safe house within the city. Subsequently, the second suspect was located, and an electric scooter, suspected of being used during the shooting, was seized.
Both suspects have been taken to the Kiryat Gat station for questioning. The investigation remains ongoing as police work to locate additional suspects and bring them to justice.
