Arkia Updates Baggage Policy and Raises Fees for Checked Luggage
Arkia Israeli Airlines is updating its baggage policy starting November 15, 2026, raising the pre-ordered checked bag fee to $60 while increasing the weight limit to 23 kg.

Arkia Israeli Airlines is updating its baggage policy starting November 15, 2026, introducing higher fees alongside an increased weight allowance for checked luggage. Passengers purchasing their first checked bag in advance will pay $60 each way—a $10 increase from the current $50 rate—while receiving an increased weight limit of up to 23 kg, an addition of 3 kg.
Travelers who wait until arriving at the airport will face significantly higher costs. A pre-booked first bag costs $60, whereas purchasing it at the airport will cost $100. For a second checked bag of up to 23 kg, the fee is set at $80 when ordered in advance and $110 at the terminal, while a third bag climbs to $100 and $120 respectively.
Passengers traveling with cabin baggage must also account for the revised price list. A trolley weighing up to 8 kg with dimensions of 56x45x25 cm will cost $25 if purchased in advance and $30 at the airport. Excess weight will incur an additional charge of $10 per extra kilogram, and a carry-on that exceeds permitted dimensions and must be sent to the hold will incur a $30 fee.
The airline noted that the policy varies depending on the destination. For flights to the United States and the Far East, excluding Thailand, the first checked bag and the trolley are already included in the ticket price. For flights to Thailand, however, only a 23 kg checked bag is included, while a trolley costs $80. Furthermore, prices may be higher at certain European airports.
