Severe Indictment Filed Against Ariel Daycare Staff for Abuse of 17 Toddlers
State prosecutors filed a severe indictment against three staff members of an Ariel daycare center for over 400 counts of abusing 17 toddlers. A former MK, whose children attended the facility, urged parents to remain vigilant.

A former Israeli lawmaker has spoken out following the filing of severe indictments against the staff of a daycare center in Ariel, where toddlers were subjected to systematic abuse. The case involves Natalya Kasilvsky, 37, the director of the "Luchik" daycare, along with staff members Darina Chaloupa, 37, and Anna Peglsky, 40.
The State Attorney's Office has charged the three women with over 400 counts of abuse and assault targeting 17 infants and toddlers aged six months to three years. According to the indictment, the children endured horrific acts, including choking, being tied up, and being locked in a dark room. Prosecutors have requested that the defendants be held in custody until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
Reflecting on the tragedy, the former MK noted the grim irony that he had previously sponsored the daycare cameras law during his tenure in the Knesset—the very technology that ultimately exposed the harrowing abuse at the facility where he had entrusted his own children. He urged parents across the country to remain vigilant, question childcare providers, and not rely solely on institutional oversight.
"Do not be complacent," he stated, emphasizing that the crisis transcends geography, politics, or socioeconomic background. "We must stand guard and be there for our children at every moment, because as I have learned, there is truly no one else to protect them."
