After Suspension: Racist Doctor from Assuta Faces Severe Backlash
Dr. Dubi Laxman, a surgeon at the Assuta network, has been suspended following a racist social media post targeting Likud voters. Knesset member Tali Gottlieb has publicly condemned his remarks.

Dr. Dubi Laxman, a senior physician and surgeon at the Assuta network, recently published a highly racist post directed at Likud voters, in which he referred to them as "baboons," "chimpanzees," "gorillas," and "orangutans."
Laxman described Likud voters as "predominantly Mizrahi, Moroccan-dominated, market stall owners, violent, simple-minded, consumed by rage and feelings of inferiority." Once this became known to the Assuta network, management summoned him for a hearing, resulting in his suspension.
Likud Knesset member Tali Gottlieb condemned Laxman for his insults toward her constituency:
"Dubi Laxman is a doctor at the Maccabi HMO and works in gynecology. I wonder how he treats the monkeys, chimpanzees, and gorillas who come to him and ask for help in reproducing. Dubi Laxman, yuck on you. You must not be allowed to treat women and men. I wouldn't even let you touch animals with your twisted thinking. What a dangerous soul you have."
The Assuta network stated to the 'Srugim' website:
"Assuta is not politically affiliated and works day by day to provide medical care to every person, without distinction. We reject the statements that were published, and they do not represent the position of Assuta. Immediately upon the matter becoming known to the hospital management, a conversation was held with the doctor, and it was decided to suspend his activities at Assuta until the completion of the investigation."
