After the destruction of the monument - MK Zvi Sukkot: "I have no regrets, it is amazing that the condemnations were only in Israel"
The MK addressed the destruction of the terrorists' monument and said that "the amazing thing is that the condemnations were only in Israel": "The condemnation by Gideon Sa'ar and the IDF Spokesperson – they caused damage, they are being quoted everywhere."
After the destruction of the terrorists' monument, MK Zvi Sukkot claimed in an interview with Kol BaRama: "The amazing thing is that the condemnations were only in Israel; the only countries that condemned were Turkey and Iraq. All the headlines in Israel are about international damage; there is nothing that caused less damage than this. The condemnation by Gideon Sa'ar and the IDF Spokesperson – they caused damage, they are being quoted everywhere. I have nothing to regret."
As recalled, yesterday MK Zvi Sukkot arrived at the villages of Madama and Burin, south of Nablus, and acted to shatter monuments erected in memory of terrorists who were involved in attacks in which Israelis were murdered. IDF forces were present at the scene, and according to Sukkot, the move was coordinated with the IDF.
Sukkot's arrival, as Chairman of the Subcommittee for Judea and Samaria Affairs, comes after he demanded that the IDF remove the monuments, but according to him, they remained in place.
In Madama, a monument was placed in memory of Yaman Tayeb Ali Faraj, who, according to information brought in a Supreme Court ruling, was involved in dispatching the terrorist who carried out the attack at the Geha junction. In that attack, Adva Fisher, Noam Leibovitz, Angelina Shcherov, and Rotem Weinberg were murdered, and more than 20 people were wounded.
