During the altercation, they claim, the Arab motorcyclist beat the teenagers and raised his riding helmet in an attempt to attack them. One of the teenagers grabbed him to prevent the continuation of the assault and to protect his friends.
Shortly thereafter, police officers arrived at the scene, but only the Jewish minor was arrested, while the Arab motorcyclist was not detained at all. The minor has been held in detention for about a week, and a hearing is scheduled for today, during which he may be released.
The minor's family claims that clear documentation of the incident exists, which they say proves their son acted in self-defense and was not the aggressor. They sharply criticize the police's conduct, alleging selective enforcement where only Jews are arrested in such violent incidents, while Arab suspects remain free.
The minor is represented by Adv. Daniel Shemilshvili from the Honenu organization, who stated that a legal battle is underway for his release. According to him, the footage presents a different picture than the one the investigating unit is attempting to attribute to the case. He added that he intends to act both for the minor's release and to bring those who attacked him and his friends to justice, calling on authorities to act impartially.

"The Israel Police conducts its investigations professionally, equally, impartially, and based on facts and evidence. The suspect was arrested after being identified as a central participant in an incident of violence and a serious assault. Investigators have full documentation showing the sequence of events from the beginning, establishing the suspicion regarding the suspect's role in the incident. Any claim that the investigation is being conducted for extraneous motives is contrary to the truth and reality. The investigation is ongoing with the aim of reaching the truth and bringing all those involved to justice, regardless of their identity."
