Who is in the hackers' crosshairs?
According to reports, this is a broad wave of alerts that joins more than 150 countries where Apple has already warned users in recent years. Just about a year ago, similar warnings were sent to users in 100 countries, and later the company confirmed that it had alerted more than a dozen victims of Iranian cyberattacks ahead of the war with Israel. This time, Apple decided to take an extra step and published a special support guide that explains exactly what to do in case of a threat.
Apple's alerts are intended to provide information and recommend immediate steps to protect the device and personal account. The most significant step the company suggests for those who received the alert is to activate 'Lockdown Mode' on the iPhone. In addition, Apple strongly recommends seeking professional assistance from experts, such as the free helpline of the Access Now organization, which is active 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Although the vast majority of us will never be a target for such sophisticated spyware, Apple is using the opportunity to remind us all of some ironclad rules for maintaining device security. Among other things, it is recommended to always update the device to the latest software version that includes security patches, protect it using a passcode, Touch ID or Face ID, and use two-factor authentication and a strong password for your Apple account.
In addition, the company recommends activating the Stolen Device Protection feature, installing apps only from the official app store, using strong and unique passwords online, and of course – never opening links or attachments from senders you do not know. Following these simple rules will ensure that your personal information remains safe, even against the most advanced threats.
