Apple Enters Foldable Market with iPhone Duo: Review and Specs
Apple debuts its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, featuring a 7.6-inch internal display and A20 Pro processor, with limited initial availability in Israel starting at 8,200 NIS.

Apple has officially entered the foldable smartphone market with the new iPhone Duo, sparking widespread curiosity among tech enthusiasts. However, early reports indicate that only 500 units have arrived in Israel so far, highlighting initial supply constraints.
Premium Design and Build
The iPhone Duo immediately turns heads with its sophisticated titanium frame, second-generation Ceramic Shield glass, and IP68 water and dust resistance. Despite these high-end materials, the device feels somewhat massive and bulky, measuring 11.3 mm thick when closed and weighing nearly 254 grams. When unfolded, it slims down to just 5.2 mm, though the hinge mechanism proves exceptionally sturdy, allowing the device to prop itself up at various angles without a tripod.
Display and Performance
The centerpiece of the device is its 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR internal foldable display, featuring a dynamic refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. While the matte coating reduces reflections, the crease remains noticeable to the touch. Powered by the A20 Pro processor, the device handles heavy workloads with ease, though thermal management issues arise under sustained loads, leading to noticeable back panel heating.
Battery, Camera, and Pricing
Equipped with a 4,883 mAh battery, the iPhone Duo delivers a full day of standard use and supports rapid charging reaching full capacity in about 40 minutes. The dual 48-megapixel camera system performs adequately in daylight but struggles in low-light environments due to the absence of a dedicated telephoto lens. Pricing in Israel starts at 8,200 NIS and climbs up to 13,300 NIS for the maximum storage configuration, placing it in direct competition with established foldables from Samsung and Google.
