Anan Khalaili complicated things: Inter is close to making a difficult decision

The collapse of the Israeli's deal did not only frustrate him, but also the Nerazzurri. According to journalist Pasquale Guarro, they are finding it very difficult to find a replacement who meets the needs on both sides like him. Therefore, they will likely have to compromise: "No other player has been identified who meets both requirements, they will have to decide what to focus on."

The collapse of Anan Khalaili's deal to Inter following a failure in medical examinations was very painful for the Israeli footballer, who had already arrived at the club's complex and saw himself signing with one of the biggest clubs in the world. But it turns out that he is not the only one frustrated by the situation.

According to Italian journalist Pasquale Guarro on the "Fcinter1908" podcast, since the deal fell through, the Nerazzurri have been finding it very difficult to find a replacement for the Israeli national team winger, whom they were counting on heavily for the coming seasons.

"Inter is in a period of deep reflection regarding the right wing-back position," he began. "In Italy, Inter usually has the ball, so a player with a more offensive orientation can fit. On the other hand, in the Champions League, there is a need for a player who is capable of defending better - and it is difficult to find someone who is good on both sides of the pitch."

Will they have to compromise?

He continued: "Marco Palestra (signed with Chelsea) and Anan Khalaili were two profiles that met these two criteria, but now they are no longer available on the market - and no other player has yet been identified who meets both requirements."

According to him, it is possible that as a result, they will turn in a different direction and be forced to compromise: "At Inter, they are waiting before deciding which type of player to focus on. Soon the club will have to make a decision, unless another player is found who convinces on both sides of the pitch."

"The options are to sign a player who is more suitable for the Italian league and less for the Champions League, or to choose a player who excels more in the Champions League but is less suitable for the requirements of the local league," he concluded.

Like Anan Khalaili, we are sure they will not find.
