Culinary Trends: Kosher Veal Bacon Returns to Agadir and New Food Spots Open
Discover the latest culinary updates across Israel, from the return of kosher veal bacon at Agadir and new weekend lunches to bustling food festivals and farmers' markets.

The famous bacon is finally making its grand return to Agadir. Back in 2018, the popular restaurant chain removed bacon from its menu, causing quite a stir among food lovers. After nearly a decade of research and culinary development, the chain has successfully crafted the world's first-ever kosher veal bacon and decided to bring it back to the tables. This innovative, kosher bacon is launching as part of the new Agadir Diner meal, available throughout September. Priced at 89 shekels, the hearty combination includes a juicy 220-gram hamburger, a sunny-side-up egg, veal bacon, and a side of crispy fries, served across all Agadir branches.
Family Dining and New Culinary Hotspots
For families planning a trip to the northern region, Si Café at the Goma Junction is offering a wonderful family promotion. By ordering two main courses for adults, parents can receive a free kids' meal. Valid until October 22, the children's menu includes a toddlers' breakfast, kids' toasted sandwiches, pizza, pasta, or chicken nuggets with fries. Meanwhile, in the heart of Tel Aviv, the Har Sinai complex welcomes a new Balkan aperitivo tradition at SUF. From Monday through Thursday, between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, guests can enjoy a 30% discount on all wine and alcoholic beverages alongside a traditional Balkan mezze platter for just 42 shekels. The platter features sardines, vinegar-fried eggplant slices, fava bean puree, fresh vegetable mixes, brandade, honeyed halloumi cheese, and fresh sourdough bread with butter.
Weekend Lunches and Pop-Up Experiences
Cotta pizza bar in Tel Aviv is expanding its operating hours, opening its doors for weekend lunches on Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The newly updated menu features delightful daytime dishes such as tomato carpaccio with balsamic vinegar and feta, burrata with tomato salsa and basil, and a modern take on melanzana. Another major highlight is the return of the Coca-Cola pop-up diner at Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv Port for its second consecutive year. Running from September 29 to October 2, renowned chefs including Haim Cohen and Moshik Roth will serve unique interpretations of classic American diner dishes, accompanied by live musical performances.
"Food culture in Israel continues to evolve rapidly, blending international trends with traditional local innovations to create unforgettable dining experiences," notes culinary experts.
Farmers' Markets and Nationwide Flavors
