"Learn the lesson from '92": In the Benjamin Netanyahu bloc, signs of pressure are emerging due to concerns over initiatives to establish new parties. Minister Amichai Chikli (Likud) published a call on Sunday to all those elements not to take risks with the national camp's future.

His remarks were accompanied by an advertisement from the "Reservists - Generation of Victory" headquarters, which directly addresses the leaders of new right-wing parties with the call: "Unite or withdraw!". This comes against the backdrop of the possibility that Gilad Erdan will announce a new party this week.

"The phenomenon of small parties on the right is becoming very, very dangerous for the national camp," wrote Chikli. "To the whole group warming up on the sidelines, I strongly recommend learning the lessons of the 'Zehut' and 'New Right' parties, not to mention the lessons of the '92 elections with the 'Tehiya' party, whose failure to pass the electoral threshold paved the way for the Oslo catastrophe."

Chikli noted that the "New Right" party, led by Naftali Bennett and Ayelet Shaked, and the "Zehut" party of Moshe Feiglin, enjoyed great popularity and flattering polls before the elections to the 21st Knesset, but ultimately did not pass the electoral threshold. According to him, the loss of these votes led to a series of inconclusive election campaigns and significant political difficulties for the national camp.

At the end of his remarks, Chikli addressed the initiators of these moves and warned against future political consequences:

"Create the necessary connections for a certain passage of the electoral threshold – or withdraw. Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."

Chikli's words come against the backdrop of contacts and various statements on the right regarding the establishment of new political frameworks. Among other things, it concerns the possibility that former ambassador Gilad Erdan, together with Knesset member Yuli Edelstein, will announce this week the establishment of a new party that will appeal to a right-wing audience.

At the same time, Knesset member Sharren Haskel has already announced her intention to establish a new party. Brigadier General (res.) Dadi Simhi also expressed his ambition to integrate into the political system and establish a party. Last night, during an interview on the "Meet the Press" program, Simhi noted that he had received an offer for a reserved spot on the Likud list.
