24-year-old Juan Felipe Giraldo traveled to the city of Pereira, Colombia, for work, while his fiancée and two-year-old son awaited his return for their wedding scheduled for Sunday. A 7.4 magnitude earthquake caused the collapse of the hotel where he was staying. For days, his father searched for him among the ruins, until his body was recovered on Friday.

Security cameras captured the moment a hospital building collapsed on patients in Cali, Colombia. A woman was rescued alive 36 hours after the quake. The death toll has risen to 265, with hundreds still missing.

Search efforts for survivors of the severe earthquake in Colombia continue, with 496 people still classified as missing. "This is undoubtedly a tragedy of enormous proportions," said Colombian President Abelardo de la Asprilla.
