The legendary 79-year-old actress is being recognized for a career spanning more than five decades in Israeli cinema, television, and theater. The Ophir Awards ceremony will be held on September 9 at Cinema City, hosted by Shani Cohen and Adam Gabay. "When they told me about the win, I suddenly felt cold all over my body," the actress said, "truly goosebumps from the excitement."

"Our Loves," Nesher’s new film about October 7, was selected for one of the upcoming Toronto Film Festival’s programs—one year after it was marked by pro-Palestinian protests. The film features Shalom Michaeliashvili, Maggie Azarzar, Yaniv Biton, and Daniel Gimpel, a candidate for the Ophir Prize.

A month before the 37th Ophir Awards, the Israeli Academy of Film and Television has unveiled the nominees. Moshe Rosenthal's "Independence" leads the pack with a historic 16 nominations. The list also includes films that previously competed for an Oscar.
