Koblenz

The defendant, whose identity remains confidential, admitted at the start of his trial to the 1994 murder of 24-year-old American tourist Amy Lopez. He lured her into an isolated room at the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress in Koblenz, where he bound, sexually assaulted, and stabbed her to death. The case was solved earlier this year after modern DNA analysis linked him to the crime.
