Eight occupied apartments are located under a 50-meter stretch of road in Turkey. Residents claim they have lived there for years without issues, but disagree on whether cars are driving over their homes or on a sidewalk.

Five mayors belonging to the Republican People's Party were convicted in a corruption case that lasted seven months and involved 200 defendants. The mayor of Beşiktaş received the heaviest sentence, while the other four were sentenced to five to eight years in prison. Erdogan's opponents claim that the trial is politically motivated.

Ceyda Yakova, a Turkish content creator who became famous for her motorcycle videos, was killed in an accident near Istanbul. According to reports, her motorcycle wheel hit gravel during a turn, she lost control and crashed into a road sign. Yakova, who had completed a degree in psychology just a month earlier, was taken to the hospital in serious condition but died of her injuries.
