Shares of the Imax cinema chain climbed this week to an all-time high following the success of the film «Odyssey» directed by Christopher Nolan. CEO Rich Gelfond reported that «Odyssey» revenue is double that of Nolan’s 2023 film «Oppenheimer», with shares rising 6% on Monday after three consecutive weekends of ticket sales exceeding $50 million.

Disney introduced a format called Infinity Vision for Avengers: Doomsday, but in practice it is not a new format—rather a standard with minimum requirements that can vary from one venue to another. Meanwhile, Dune: Part 3 releasing on the same day gives it an advantage across IMAX theaters.
