High Jump

Born in Australia, raised in the USA, and decided to compete for Israel. The 17-year-old high jump talent, who cleared 1.96 m at age 13, trains under legend Dwight Stones and dreams of clearing 2.40 meters. His journey is a story of connection to his roots, family support, and a desire to bring glory to the country.

Yonathan Kapitolnik finished in fifth place in the high jump final at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. The Israeli jumper cleared 2.23 meters, equaling his season best, but was unable to clear 2.27 meters.

The Israeli high jumper cleared 2.23 m on his first attempt and qualified in third place at the championship taking place in Birmingham. Lamziel and Shai ended their run in the qualifiers.

The first attempt was enough for the Israeli-American athlete to clear 2.14 m. On the disappointing side: Yarden Mantel failed to qualify due to equipment issues, and Gal Nathaniel finished the 400 m hurdles in 1:00.80 min.
