Drunk Driving

The driver stopped in the middle of the lane on a highway near the Rama junction. A test revealed that his body contained 972 micrograms of alcohol per liter of exhaled air, more than four times the legal limit. He was arrested, his vehicle was impounded for 30 days, and an indictment was subsequently filed against him.

Ayalon District police officers confiscated dozens of vehicles and took cars off the road, but one driver who was stopped at a checkpoint while completely drunk left them stunned due to the exceptional figure discovered in his test.

An 8-year-old girl from Germany showed great courage when she called the emergency center late at night to report that her mother was driving under the influence of alcohol and swerving out of the lane. Police officers located the vehicle on the side of the road, found the mother to be completely drunk, and opened criminal proceedings against her.

The operators were detained in the Gulf of Eilat and their boating licenses were suspended for 30 days. One suspect refused testing, while breathalyzer tests for the other two revealed alcohol concentrations of 483 and 403 mcg.

An indictment was filed against a 62-year-old man who drove under the influence of alcohol and lost control of his vehicle in Karmiel. A breathalyzer test conducted on the spot showed an alcohol level four times the legal limit. His vehicle was seized and impounded for 30 days.
