The Ministerial Committee has approved in principle the purchase of 12 Apache helicopters, but without financial guarantees, Israel may lose its place on the production line and face a doubling of costs.

The classified procurement is intended to address an immediate operational need. 850 million shekels will be taken from the budget allocated for investments in the technology sector, and 150 million from unallocated funds. The legal counsel determined that despite the duty of restraint during the election period, there is no impediment to approving the move.
