An insurance agent who defrauded his clients and pocketed more than 225,000 shekels was sentenced to nine months of community service, a 5,000 shekel fine, and compensation. For four years, he sold 47 clients forged compulsory insurance certificates from the "Menora" company, copying payment stamps from other policies and leaving them without insurance coverage.

Between 2021 and 2024, car insurance premiums jumped by an average of 42%, but since early 2025, rates have decreased by about 10%. Many companies still offer renewals at last year's prices, which often leads to significant overpayment for consumers.

The Supreme Court of India has recommended a pilot program that would prevent vehicles without valid third-party insurance from refueling at gas stations. The initiative aims to improve enforcement and reduce the number of uninsured vehicles on the road.
