Yochananof has slashed the price of Apple AirPods 4 to 299 NIS in a parallel import promotion, undercutting rival supermarket chain Victory and specialized electronics retailers by up to 140 NIS.
The Israeli supermarket chain Yochananof has launched an aggressive promotion, offering Apple AirPods 4 for 299 NIS, undercutting its rival Victory which sold the same model for 349 NIS just a week and a half ago.
The discounted headphones are being sold as parallel imports in 16 selected physical branches across the country, including locations in Rehovot, Ashdod, Haifa, Jerusalem, and Beersheba, and the promotion will remain valid while supplies last.
A market price comparison highlights a substantial gap with specialized electronics retailers. GoMobile offers the AirPods 4 for 395 NIS, Ivory lists them at 419 NIS, and Bug prices the model at 439 NIS, which is 140 NIS higher than Yochananof's promotional price.
This pricing strategy follows a broader trend where major food chains use popular Apple products as loss leaders to attract shoppers. Rival chains like Osher Ad and Victory have previously utilized similar parallel import campaigns for consumer electronics.
