Bank Hapoalim Funds Taxi Rides for Employees and Retirees on Election Day
Bank Hapoalim CEO Yadin Antebi announced a special initiative to fully reimburse taxi travel costs for employees and retirees needing mobility assistance to reach polling stations on election day.

Bank Hapoalim CEO Yadin Antebi has announced a special initiative to fully reimburse taxi travel costs for the bank's employees and retirees who experience mobility difficulties on election day. As polling stations witness heavy voter turnout and long lines across the country, the bank aims to remove transportation barriers for elderly and mobility-challenged individuals.
Under the newly launched program, bank retirees and staff who require assistance reaching their designated polling stations can book a taxi and submit their receipts for a full account reimbursement. Antebi emphasized that the measure is entirely non-partisan, encouraging all personnel to participate regardless of their political alignment. "This is an important and meaningful day. Go out and exercise your right to vote. It does not matter which party, make your voices heard for the country and for future generations," Antebi wrote in a personal message.
The banking initiative complements broader nationwide efforts to facilitate voting access during the current election cycle. While the state has ensured free travel on Israel Railways and intercity bus lines for the general public, public transportation often proves insufficient for citizens with limited mobility who require direct door-to-door transit to the ballot box. Bank Hapoalim's direct taxi funding addresses this specific gap, ensuring that logistical hurdles do not prevent citizens from casting their ballots before polls close at 22:00.
