During the program "The Patriots" on Channel 14, Yinon Magal sharply criticized those who were shocked by the events of a dismissal on live broadcast. The speaker claimed that this is "gaslighting" and pointed to hypocrisy on the part of those same critics who, according to him, acted in a similar way in the past.

Magal quoted previous statements by Naftali Bennett and Yair Golan, in which it was said, for example:

"Anyone who is loyal to the king and not to the kingdom, anyone who is not loyal to the values of the State of Israel as expressed in the Declaration of Independence, should go home."

Magal emphasized the gap between past conduct and current criticism, stating: "When these people talk about a dismissal on live broadcast that did not happen, and for weeks they pump out that they will fire, without blinking, anyone who does not look good to them." He added that these threats included "including the Chief of Staff, including a commander, including anyone who does not look good to them," thereby highlighting the extent of the alleged hypocrisy.
