Businessman Roni Mane raised a question on social media regarding the absence of 'The Patriots' host and his potential move into politics. Channel 14 was quick to respond live on air and revealed the true reason for Magal's absence.
Media personality Yinon Magal sparked significant interest this past Sunday following a tweet published by Roni Mane, a critic of Benjamin Netanyahu, on the social network X. In his post, Mane asked his followers: "Did Yinon Magal go on vacation from 'The Patriots' program because he was offered a reserved spot with Netanyahu?" The person quick to address this was the substitute host, Yotam Zimri.
"Roni Mane, another disappointed Likud supporter, posted a tweet about Yinon," the journalist told the viewers and panel members. The Channel 14 host then turned to the studio audience to ask an intriguing question: "I will conduct a small poll and ask where Yinon is more important: on 'The Patriots' or next to Bibi. Whoever thinks on 'The Patriots', clap your hands."
In response, thunderous applause filled the room. When he presented the second option, not a single clap was heard from the audience. Panel members clarified that their colleague is simply spending a family vacation in Greece.
In anticipation of the upcoming media load and the intensive broadcasts expected to accompany the election campaign, Yinon Magal decided to take a short break and traveled abroad. A few hours before the start of Shabbat, Magal shared a photo from his family vacation in which he is sitting with his back to the camera, looking at a mountain view, with the caption: "Recalculating route." Later, he uploaded another photo to social media, writing: "I went to check what is happening in the world, I will be back soon."
