Yinon Magal crosses the line: Scandal over Gadi Eisenkot's children
Ben Caspit responded sharply to Yinon Magal's remarks regarding Eisenkot's children, contrasting them with the lifestyle of Benjamin Netanyahu's children.
In the program "The Patriots" that aired on Wednesday on Channel 14, host Yinon Magal crossed another red line by casting aspersions on the children of the change bloc's candidate for prime minister, Gadi Eisenkot. During the program, Magal claimed that "your test is not who your parents are, but who your children are." This was said in response to the fact that Eisenkot's mother wears a head covering and has a Moroccan accent.
As recalled, Gadi Eisenkot's son, Gal Meir Eisenkot, a hero of Israel, may his memory be blessed, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip in December 2023 at the age of 25. Magal, on the other hand, claimed that "Eisenkot's daughter got married a short time ago, on a Friday night, without a rabbi and without a chuppah."
The scandalous segment from the program angered Magal's partner on 103FM radio broadcasts, Ben Caspit, who responded sharply:
"Eisenkot's children: Gal Eisenkot, a fighter, fell in the war in Gaza (in addition to two of his cousins who also fell). Major Guy Eisenkot, endless days of reserve duty, Lieutenant Yael Eisenkot. Same. Rozi Eisenkot, an education sergeant in the Nahal Brigade. Lieutenant Rotem Eisenkot, a welfare officer in the Golani Brigade."
He continued regarding Netanyahu's children:
"Yair: a certified parasite, a slacker, served in the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, received sushi deliveries to the base at our expense throughout his service, fled to Miami during the war and spent most of his time there. Avner: served in a field unit, was drafted for short reserve duty at the Kirya during the war, and disappeared. Noa: was distanced from her father's life and family upon his third marriage. Raising 5 grandchildren who barely know their grandfather. Her picture has been 'in a frame' since her father was prime minister in the nineties."
