Yaakov Bardugo in a sharp attack: "A stench of rot"

An especially sharp attack by one of the most influential media figures on the right: political commentator Yaakov Bardugo, who is identified with the right-wing camp and is considered close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, launched a frontal and unprecedented attack over the weekend against the IDF, the General Staff, and the security establishment.

Bardugo, who currently hosts current affairs programs and serves as a prominent commentator on Channel 14 (Now 14) and on the 'Galey Israel' radio station (and previously served as a commentator and host on 'Galey Tzahal' and as a columnist for 'Israel Hayom'), chose to open his program on 'Galey Israel' radio with particularly harsh statements against the credibility of the messages and briefings issued by the IDF leadership to the general public.

In his sharp remarks, Bardugo referred to the security reports and briefings issued by the establishment:

"Over the weekend, the General Staff sowed panic as if an attack was about to take place, when in reality negotiations are being held with Iran through Qatar," he claimed in the program's opening.

In addition, he referred with great criticism to another military publication from those same hours:

"At the same time, a military briefing was published on Friday about the 'settlement campaign' and how many resources it consumes."

The media figure and commentator did not stop there and continued to express complete distrust in the messages coming from the General Staff forum and the security establishment: "I no longer believe the briefings that come out of the corridors of Israel," he declared firmly.

Bardugo concluded his pointed remarks with a harsh comparison to the days preceding the outbreak of the war: "The stench that rises from them reminds me of the conception of October 7. In my eyes, the army has returned to the same place."
