The market for corporate dining budgets in Israel is heating up, and Wolt is setting a clear goal: to change the consumption habits of employees. The company's business arm, Wolt Benefits, recently marked a significant milestone by crossing the threshold of 300 high-tech companies that have joined the service within a few months. Now, with the aim of deepening its hold on the market, it is pulling out a new weapon in the struggle against long-standing competitors.

The company announced the launch of a new benefit for employees using the corporate dining budget: a 10% discount on group orders. The benefit is available on workdays from Sunday to Thursday, during the peak lunch hours of 11:00 to 15:00, for orders exceeding 200 shekels. The significant news for employees is the possibility of stacking discounts; the group discount can be combined with existing restaurant promotions in the app, which allows for significantly stretching the monthly budget.

The group ordering feature is designed to solve the familiar logistical nightmare in offices. Instead of passing a phone from one to another or getting tangled up with reimbursements in various apps, each employee can scan a QR code or enter a dedicated link. From there, they choose their dish via their personal device and pay for it directly from their budget. At the end of the process, everyone's food arrives together in a consolidated delivery.

The new benefit joins the package that Wolt already offers to organizations, which includes a fast VIP customer service track for employees, alongside the option for employers to absorb the delivery fees so that employees receive free deliveries.

Dor Gabizon, manager of Wolt Benefits in Israel, explains the strategy:

"The solutions of the veteran players in the market are at best merely a means of payment. The real competition today has moved to the arena of added value. Our entry changes the rules of the game and raises the bar for organizations and employees. Today, when it is clear that a dining budget is a basic standard, the competitive advantage of companies is measured by the experiences and additional benefits they can provide to their employees."
