Wasserlauf criticizes Lebanon pilot project: "Naivety and pipe dreams"

The minister stated that he will soon present his conclusions regarding the pilot to the Security Cabinet.
Minister Wasserlauf rejected the notion that it is possible to rely on the Lebanese government and army to disarm Hezbollah: "They do not have the ability to disarm Hezbollah, and furthermore, representatives of the terrorist organization sit within the Lebanese government itself; they are part of it."
"The correct directive is to use as much firepower as possible, as the only way to disarm Hezbollah is through the IDF; everything else is an attempt at shortcuts and pipe dreams," Wasserlauf stated. "We will present our position in the cabinet. For every drone action of theirs, we must strike back with missiles while simultaneously deepening the fighting. Beirut needs to burn."
