IDF and Shin Bet Eliminate Local Terror Commander in Khan Yunis Airstrike
The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Ramadan Muhammad Ashhada Diyab, a senior militant leader in Khan Yunis, alongside other operatives during recent airstrikes in the Gaza Strip.
The IDF and Shin Bet conducted a targeted airstrike in the Khan Yunis area of the southern Gaza Strip, eliminating Ramadan Muhammad Ashhada Diyab, who headed the local Popular Resistance Committees.
The Popular Resistance Committees, founded in 2000, are linked to Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. Members of the group participated in the October 7 assault and have carried out numerous attacks against IDF forces throughout the ongoing war.
According to security officials, Diyab recently promoted terror operations against troops and Israeli citizens while attempting to rebuild Hamas capabilities in violation of the ceasefire.
In additional operations this week, the IDF eliminated Abdullah Munir Mahmoud Haraz, a deputy platoon commander in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's rocket unit, during a strike in the Daraj Tuffah area. Furthermore, strikes in Gaza City resulted in the deaths of Muhammad Wail Mustafa Shashaah, a sniper operative for Hamas, and Akram Bassam Shaban Yasin, a senior official in the Hamas General Security Mechanism.
