"You have lost America": Former CIA agent in a sharp attack against Israel
Former CIA agent John Kiriakou harshly criticized Israel and AIPAC, claiming that Jerusalem is trying to silence critics in the US and dragged Donald Trump into a war, warning: "You have lost the American public, you have lost the American military."
John Kiriakou, a former CIA agent and a well-known whistleblower in the US, launched a sharp and unprecedented attack this week against Israel, its government, and the pro-Israel lobby in the United States, AIPAC. In the latest episode of his YouTube podcast, Kiriakou did not mince words, accusing Israel of attempting to silence critics, dragging the United States into unnecessary wars, and spreading deliberate lies.
"I will not take orders from Netanyahu"
Kiriakou's attack followed criticism he received on social media from elements he called "right-wing extremists and pro-Zionist activists." According to him, they attacked him over a meeting he held about a year and a half ago with a representative of the ruling party in Turkey. "Who cares? I can have dinner with whoever I want, and I don't have to ask the Zionist lobby or AIPAC if it's okay with them," Kiriakou said dismissively in the video.
He added with a direct jab at the Israeli Prime Minister: "I am not asking Benjamin Netanyahu's permission to do so... I will not take orders from the Israeli government or its mouthpieces and sycophants in the United States. So tough luck guys, nice try, but I don't owe you an explanation."
"An act of desperation" and spreading lies
The former intelligence agent claims that the timing of the attack against him is not coincidental and comes in response to the criticism he leveled at Israel in the previous episode of his program. In that episode, he cited claims that the warnings given to Donald Trump regarding an Iranian assassination were completely fabricated by Israeli intelligence. "Of course the Israelis made it up," Kiriakou stated firmly. "They just don't want people like me to tell you that they made it up. This is an act of desperation."
According to him, this is a broader pattern of silencing American critics. He explained to his followers: "They attack Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Marjorie Taylor Greene — they attack anyone who does not align with Israeli policy. I will never align with Israeli policy, because I support the United States. The success of the USA is what matters to me, I don't care what happens to Israel."
The American public and the cost of the war in Gaza
A significant part of Kiriakou's criticism was directed at the impact of the current war on US military forces, especially on Navy sailors serving in difficult conditions on aircraft carriers in the Middle East. According to him, "Israel set a trap for Donald Trump into this war," and American soldiers are suffering from poor conditions and severe mental exhaustion because of these decisions.
Further in his remarks, Kiriakou addressed the government in Jerusalem directly with a clear message: "If the Israeli government is watching this podcast, let me explain something to you: you have lost the American public, you have lost the American military. You must stop. The United States is not going to fight your wars for you endlessly."
He concluded with a warning regarding the future of relations: "Trump will not be president forever, and you will not be able to push every American around or intimidate the rest of us into silence. It just won't work."
During the video, which was filmed in Cairo, Egypt, Kiriakou also addressed the war in Gaza and claimed, contrary to known official data, that the number of Palestinian deaths stands at "at least 70,000." He noted that the Egyptians he spoke with are now asking him again and again, "Why did Trump turn his back on the Arabs?". The words of the former CIA agent illustrate the growing critical voices on the political fringes in the United States regarding Israel's policy and its impact on American interests.
