Volodymyr Zelensky warns of new threat: "A danger to the rest of the world"

Fighting between Russia and Ukraine continued with high intensity on Tuesday night, as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Moscow of using North Korean missiles. Zelensky stated that strikes on Zaporizhzhia, which killed at least six people and wounded 19, were carried out using ballistic missiles supplied by Russia's ally.

At the same time, Ukraine attacked warehouses of the online retailer "Wildberries" in the Voronezh region of southern Russia. The company, often referred to as the "Amazon of Russia," has been targeted repeatedly in recent weeks. These strikes occurred a day after 13 people, including a child, were killed in Ukrainian drone attacks in the Republic of Tatarstan, approximately 1,100 km from the Ukrainian border.

In a video address yesterday evening, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that "for the first time," Russia "cannot wage war without reinforcements from North Korea." He added that the more North Korean strikes occur in Ukraine, the more they will "correct their flaws and blind spots," which poses a danger to the rest of the world. Volodymyr Zelensky also praised a successful airstrike on a petrochemical plant in Siberia.

Zaporizhzhia region governor Ivan Fedorov posted photos of burning vehicles and buildings, noting that Moscow attacked the city using missiles and guided bombs. One person was wounded in the attacks in Kyiv, where air raid sirens sounded twice during the night. An attack in Kyiv hit a hospital, though officials reported that staff and patients were in shelters. Two women were wounded in a Russian drone attack on Sumy.

The strikes on "Wildberries" warehouses follow similar attacks last July, when Kyiv stated it was targeting logistics centers used by the Russians to procure military equipment. The attack in Tatarstan this week was one of the deadliest on Russian territory since the start of the war, leaving at least 75 people wounded. The Uzbek consulate in Tatarstan confirmed that seven of the deceased were citizens of Uzbekistan.
