Wave of 'price tag' incidents: Arson and riots in the West Bank
According to reports from Palestinians and human rights organizations, dozens of settlers raided the villages of Far'ata, Jit, Beit Furik, Burin, and Iraq in the Nablus area, setting fires and throwing stones at residential homes.
In response to the terror attack in the village of Tel, in which Binyahu Malet was murdered, settlers raided several villages in the area today, Friday. According to reports from Palestinians and human rights organizations, dozens of settlers raided the village of Far'ata near Qalqilya, as well as the villages of Jit, Beit Furik, Burin, and Iraq in the Nablus area, setting fires and throwing stones at residential homes.
The Red Crescent reported that four people were wounded by gunfire. It was further reported that another individual sustained a head injury from a stone, and all wounded were evacuated to the hospital. In the Ma'arajat area, Palestinians reported that settlers stabbed a driver in the back. Earlier, near Kedumim, an Israeli citizen reported that a Palestinian vehicle attempted to run him over while he was walking on the side of the road; the vehicle fled the scene but was intercepted shortly thereafter.
The shooting attack that claimed the life of Binyahu Malet occurred while a group of hikers was traveling in the area and was attacked by several Palestinians.
The security officer of the Havat Gilad settlement rushed to the scene. At approximately 08:20, an initial report was received regarding a shooting incident, which reportedly occurred after Palestinians seized the security officer's weapon and opened fire on the hikers.
Three hikers were wounded in the attack, one critically and two seriously. After medical teams provided emergency treatment, the death of Binyahu Malet was pronounced.
