The list of teams participating in this season's Champions League was finalized on Wednesday evening following the conclusion of all playoff matches. All 32 clubs now await tomorrow's draw, which will determine the matchups for the eight rounds of the league phase.

In the first pot are, as every year, the biggest teams in Europe. While in the past this was reserved for domestic champions and winners of the Europa League and Champions League, the new format primarily features the elite clubs: PSG, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Inter, Manchester City, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid.

Also in the second pot are some of the best teams in Europe that no opponent from the first pot would want to face. Among them are Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United, Roma, Aston Villa, and Real Betis. They are joined by PSV Eindhoven, Sporting Lisbon, Porto, and Club Brugge.

In the third pot are Fenerbahçe, Feyenoord, Lille, Napoli, Leipzig, Villarreal, Shakhtar Donetsk, Bodø/Glimt, and Galatasaray. The fourth and lowest pot includes Sabah (Hapoel Be'er Sheva's rival), Slavia Prague, Stuttgart, Como, Lens, LASK Linz, Vikingur Bratislava, and AEK Athens.

During the league phase, each team will play eight matches, facing two opponents from each pot (A, B, C, and D). The top 8 teams in the table will secure a spot in the round of 16, while those finishing between 9th and 24th place will compete in a playoff stage for the eight remaining tickets to the round of 16.
