The United States is steadily reinforcing its military presence across the Middle East as preparations intensify for a potential direct confrontation with Iran, according to regional reports. The ongoing buildup reportedly exceeds the scale of previous deployments, involving three aircraft carriers, numerous destroyers, and advanced tactical aircraft positioned across the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, and the Gulf of Oman near the Strait of Hormuz.

Military assessments indicate that nearly 200 American refueling aircraft are currently stationed in and around Israel to support potential long-range operations. Strategic planning reportedly encompasses systematic strikes targeting critical infrastructure, including power plants, national utility grids, and facilities associated with the production of ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.

A central operational challenge remains deep underground installations, such as fortified facilities reportedly buried between 80 and 240 meters beneath solid rock, where enriched uranium is allegedly stored. According to IDF estimates, Iran currently maintains an arsenal of approximately 1,500 surface-to-surface missiles and some 300 launchers, with production rates estimated at dozens of new missiles per month.

Key strategic questions persist regarding how a future campaign would address challenges such as securing hundreds of kilograms of 60 percent enriched uranium, preventing the reconstitution of the nuclear and missile programs, and achieving long-term regional stability to prevent recurring cycles of conflict.
