The United States Armed Forces are redeploying forces in anticipation of a potential new strike against Iran, according to the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS). The research center, which monitors military posture in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf, reports that Washington is moving to return units previously withdrawn following the conclusion of the recent conflict.

Analysts have identified the redeployment of naval destroyers and aerial tankers returning to European bases. According to institute experts, tracking data on military aircraft movements suggests a deliberate rebuilding of logistical infrastructure, potentially serving as a staging ground for operations within the United States Central Command area of responsibility.

Furthermore, the INSS confirmed that three active naval destroyers are now operating in the Mediterranean Sea, reinforcing a vessel already stationed in the region. Researchers emphasize that it remains unconfirmed whether these warships will move closer to Middle Eastern operational zones, noting that monitoring efforts are ongoing.

Despite previous drawdowns over recent months, the U.S. military maintained a substantial combat-ready posture in the region, keeping significant naval and air assets in place to respond to shifting strategic developments.
