US Expels Iranian Diplomats from New York Amid Maximum Pressure Campaign
The US State Department expelled two Iranian diplomats from New York for overstaying their UN General Assembly visas, as Washington intensifies economic and military pressure on Tehran.

The United States Department of State has taken strict measures against Iranian diplomats following the United Nations General Assembly in New York. According to recent reports, two members of the Iranian delegation were expelled from the United States after refusing to depart following the conclusion of the UN sessions. US authorities confirmed that the individuals ignored explicit directives to leave the country, prompting intervention from the State Department.
Economic Pressure and Oil Restrictions
Simultaneously, the White House released updated figures highlighting the severe economic containment campaign against Tehran. The Department of Treasury noted that aggressive economic pressure has pushed inflation in Iran to near 90%, while the local currency has dropped significantly against the US dollar.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio means business. They were found in New York long after the assembly concluded, and now they have been deported from the country, a senior US official stated.
Warnings from Washington
Top US leadership delivered firm warnings regarding regional security and nuclear ambitions. President Donald Trump addressed reporters, stating that Iran has largely stepped back from its nuclear ambitions due to mounting pressure, though future decisions remain under review. Meanwhile, the Department of Defense emphasized that Washington maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any attempts to disrupt global energy markets or threaten regional stability.
