The Israeli fintech company Be The Bank (BTB) is investing 7 million shekels in zipper, the delivery and logistics management platform of the Katz Group. As part of the deal, which is being carried out at a valuation of approximately 40 million shekels, BTB will acquire about 19% of the company's shares.

The move is expected to create a connection between logistics operations and financial services, as for the first time in Israel, services such as business credit, payments, collections, and advance payments will be integrated into a delivery management platform. The goal is to enable business owners to manage key parts of their ongoing operations from a single system, from delivery management to cash flow management.

zipper is the technology arm of the Katz Group, which has been operating for over 50 years in the logistics and delivery sector. The platform connects brands, distribution companies, and end customers, and integrates with ERP, WMS, POS, and e-commerce systems.

Beyond delivery management, the system allows businesses to manage multiple branches and stores under one account, receive a consolidated overview via a dashboard, and choose between different types of delivery, including immediate delivery, same-day delivery, and next-day delivery. The company also offers centralized purchasing of packaging and shipping materials under group terms.

As part of the collaboration with BTB, financial services including business credit, advance payments, collections, and a digital wallet will be embedded into the platform. In the first stage, a pilot will be operated among several dozen businesses, and later, the expansion of operations to the approximately 1,800 active clients of the Katz Group is planned, alongside the integration of additional distribution companies.

The move is intended to address one of the main problems for business owners: the fragmentation between different systems. Today, a business might manage deliveries in one system, payments in another, and financial reconciliations through separate reports. The connection between zipper and BTB is intended to reduce the need to switch between systems and centralize operational and financial information in one place.

According to the companies, the delivery market in Israel is growing at a rate of about 15% to 20% per year in terms of package volume. At the same time, many businesses still work using systems that do not communicate with each other.

Alon Katz, co-founder of BTB and Deputy CEO of the company, said:

"Our vision is that every business will be able to manage its financial activity exactly where the business decision is made. The future of financial services is not in another app, but in their integration into the business activity itself."

Gal Halperin, founder and CEO of zipper, added:

"Our mission is to turn logistics into a growth engine and not just a cost center. The partnership with BTB gives businesses control over their operational and financial activity from within a single platform, and turns every delivery into a business opportunity."
