A 19-year-old scooter rider was arrested in Nazareth after attempting to flee from police. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered two loaded pistols concealed beneath the driver's seat. Following the investigation, an indictment was filed along with a motion to remand the suspect in custody until the conclusion of legal proceedings.

The incident occurred on August 1 during a patrol operation by Northern District motorcycle units. Officers noticed a scooter with a bent license plate, prompting the rider to attempt an escape.

Police successfully blocked the suspect's path and took him into custody. A search of the scooter revealed two Colt and FN pistols, both loaded with ammunition.

The prosecution, represented by attorney Amit Perla, filed the indictment at the District Court in Nof HaGalil-Nazareth.

Police noted that over 580 weapons have been seized in the Northern District since the beginning of the year as part of ongoing efforts to combat violent crime and remove illegal firearms from the streets.
