Channel 14 panelist joins Avigdor Lieberman's party
Mor Dekel, a regular commentator on Channel 14, has announced she is joining Avigdor Lieberman's Yisrael Beiteinu party. Dekel, who previously worked in early childhood advocacy and political consulting in Petah Tikva, has chosen to align with the opposition bloc.
Mor Dekel, known in recent years as a regular commentator on Channel 14, surprised the public on Thursday by announcing her decision to join Avigdor Lieberman's Yisrael Beiteinu party. Dekel, who previously served as chair of an association for early childhood and worked as a political advisor in Petah Tikva, has chosen to align with the party, which belongs to the opposition bloc that includes Gadi Eisenkot and Yair Golan.
Over the last decade, Mor Dekel has focused on issues of education, early childhood, and family. For six years, she served as chair of the Israeli branch of the World Organization for Early Childhood, and later worked as an advisor to the mayor of Petah Tikva on early childhood affairs. Dekel is a graduate of the "Kerem" and "Et Le-hanoch" leadership programs at the Mandel Institute and serves as a commentator on social, educational, and public policy issues.
Mor Dekel stated:
"The State of Israel is facing unprecedented security, economic, and social challenges. To deal with them, a strong and experienced leader is required who knows how to decide and make decisions. I support Avigdor Lieberman for Prime Minister because I believe he brings with him experience, responsibility, determination, and executive ability."
She added:
"I am joining Yisrael Beiteinu out of a sense of mission and a desire to influence from the place where decisions are made. For years, I led public struggles and worked for children, parents, and educators. I believe that the security of tomorrow begins with the education of today. In order to strengthen Israeli society, one must make brave decisions, lead real change, and act for the sake of future generations."
