October Council Warns Police of Alleged Provocations Ahead of Tel Aviv Rally
The October Council urged Police Commissioner Danny Levi to secure Saturday's rally in Tel Aviv against alleged coalition-linked provocations. Thousands are expected to demand a state commission of inquiry.

The October Council sent an official letter to Police Commissioner Danny Levi on Saturday, warning of an alleged attempt to disrupt the rally scheduled for the evening in Tel Aviv. According to the council, information received from authorized entities and party leaders indicated that elements linked to coalition parties are preparing to provoke disturbances at the demonstration, which calls for the establishment of a state commission of inquiry.
The council demanded an increased police deployment and preemptive measures to thwart any disruptions. "Any attempt at disruption or provocation by external elements is unrelated to us and is not our responsibility. We expect the police to prevent these incidents beforehand rather than merely reacting after the fact," the organization stated.
Organizers noted that thousands of citizens registered for organized transportation from across the country to attend the rally at Hostages Square in Tel Aviv. The event, held under the banner "After three years of struggle, we begin to repair," features demands for an independent state commission of inquiry into the October 7 disaster.
The rally is hosted by actor Yossi Marshak and TV presenter Titi Aynaw, with performances by HaDag Nahash, Dana Berger, and Anya Bukstein. Opposition leader Yair Lapid, Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Lieberman, and The Democrats leader Yair Golan are expected to attend the civilian gathering.
