48-year-old woman hospitalized in serious condition after snakebite in Rishon LeZion

A 48-year-old woman is in serious but stable condition today, Wednesday, after being bitten by a snake while working on Machon Volcani Street in Rishon LeZion.

MDA medics and paramedics arrived at the scene, provided the woman with initial medical treatment, and evacuated her via intensive care ambulance to Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Hospital, as she suffered from bite marks on her lower limbs.

MDA paramedic Tehila Cohen stated:

"We received a report about a woman bitten by a snake while working. Upon arrival, we found the woman conscious. She told us she had been bitten on her lower limbs. We provided medical treatment, including the administration of medication, and evacuated her to the hospital while maintaining her stable condition."

In a separate incident, a 26-year-old resident of Majd al-Krum was taken to the Galilee Medical Center after being bitten by a snake near her home. Following a medical evaluation and treatment, she was admitted to the general intensive care unit in stable, mild condition. Medical staff reiterated the importance of remaining calm, immobilizing the affected limb, and seeking rapid evacuation to a hospital in the event of a snakebite.
