October 7th terrorist identified as truck driver: IDF forces conduct ambush
Paratrooper fighters received intelligence that a Nukhba terrorist, suspected of participating in the October 7th massacre, was working as a truck driver transporting aid from Kerem Shalom into Gaza. Forces set up an ambush, arrested him, and transferred him for Shin Bet interrogation.
Paratrooper fighters operating in the southern Gaza Strip arrested a Nukhba terrorist over the weekend who participated in the October 7th attacks and is suspected of involvement in the massacre. The soldiers received intelligence that the terrorist was employed as a truck driver for a Gazan transport company, which moves aid arriving daily at the Kerem Shalom crossing into the Gaza Strip.
Following this information, the forces set up an ambush on the route leading from Kerem Shalom toward Rafah. Upon spotting the truck, they intercepted the vehicle. The terrorist was arrested and immediately transferred for Shin Bet interrogation.
The IDF and the Shin Bet continue to collect intelligence and locate individuals who took part in the October 7th massacre. Currently, per a directive from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the elimination of such terrorists requires approval from the political echelon or, at a minimum, from the Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir. Until last week, the IDF and the Shin Bet identified and struck these terrorists with approval from a division commander or the Southern Command commander.
