Khalil al-Rashed, a resident of East Jerusalem and a father of two daughters, was shot to death by a Border Police officer on Thursday, as revealed this Monday on Channel 13 News. According to the officers' testimonies, he did not respond to calls to stop, after which a suspect arrest procedure was initiated, resulting in him being shot in the leg. In the footage, he is seen lying on the ground; his family members state that he did not receive medical treatment for a significant period, which caused him to lose a large amount of blood and eventually die.

About six months ago, al-Rashed was interviewed by Channel 13 News, where he recounted being punched and kicked by two teenagers in Jerusalem as part of a violent TikTok trend. The suspects claimed the act was an "attack for no reason." Al-Rashed had been struggling with a difficult mental state following the assault and also suffered from epilepsy.
