A Shabbat meal that evokes the autumn spirit
A sudden evening breeze and changing scents have sparked a longing for autumn, leading us to seek out comfort food. We chose a shepherd's pie—a rich, indulgent dish that anchors the table. Complement it with fresh greens and a trendy dessert to welcome the Tishrei holidays in style.

Green leaf and fig salad
Figs have only a few good weeks left at the market before they disappear for the year, so we decided to make the most of them. This salad is the perfect way to do it: fresh green leaves, a mix of crunchy nuts, quartered figs, and a tangy dressing that balances the sweetness. In just 10 minutes, you have a festive salad that is perfect for any holiday table.
Aharoni's green vegetable stir-fry
Serving a green dish has become a major trend in restaurants, and for good reason—it is always a delight to eat. This dish pairs wonderfully with the main course, and as a bonus, you can prepare all the greens in just 5 minutes. Aharoni stir-fries bok choy, asparagus, green beans, and green onions with garlic and fresh ginger, seasoning them with a delicate Asian sauce.
Shepherd's pie
It is amazing how a dish from the 18th century, originally created to use up leftovers, has become a centerpiece for any table. You simply cannot go wrong with a shepherd's pie; it is savory, rich, seasoned, and deeply comforting. It is also surprisingly simple to prepare: cook the ground meat with vegetables, top with a layer of mashed potatoes, and bake until golden brown. Serve it in the pan with a large spoon so everyone can help themselves.
Dubai chocolate Malabi
How can a dessert be light, trendy, and indulgent all at once? Ask Karin Goren and Ron Yohananov, who concocted a Malabi with a «Dubai chocolate» twist in individual cups. The base is a familiar Malabi made with coconut cream and rose water, topped with crispy kadaif roasted with powdered sugar until golden, and finished with a rich dark chocolate ganache and pistachio paste. Prepare it a day in advance and keep it a secret! Have a pleasant Shabbat!
