Carlo submachine gun, improvised weapon, and 60-round magazine seized in Ar'ara in the Negev
A Carlo-type weapon, an improvised weapon, magazines, and ammunition were seized during operational activity in the town of Ar'ara in the Negev. A local resident in his 20s was detained and transferred for questioning at the Aroer police station.
A Carlo-type weapon, an improvised weapon, magazines, and ammunition were seized during operational activity in the town of Ar'ara in the Negev. A local resident in his 20s was detained and transferred for further processing and investigation at the Aroer police station.
During a search of a residence, security forces located two boxes of 9mm ammunition, a magazine for a Carlo-type weapon, an extended M-16 magazine with a capacity of 60 rounds, and two magazine couplers.
The activity was conducted as part of Operation "Iron Net" by officers of the Aroer station, fighters of the MATPA unit, the BAHAM South unit, and fighters of the National Guard of the Border Police South, to locate illegal weapons.
The commander of the Aroer station, Superintendent Baruch Honig, stated:
"The fight against illegal weapons is a central mission for the station's officers. Every weapon seized is a threat prevented from the street and helps maintain the safety of the residents. We will continue to act with determination, in cooperation with all police units, to locate illegal weapons and bring those involved to justice."
