Worker falls 9 meters into ship's hold at Ashdod's Southern Port

Fire and rescue forces were called to the Southern Port in Ashdod this morning, Wednesday, following reports that a worker had fallen approximately 9 meters into the hold of a ship. Given the complexity of the incident and the challenging terrain, the special rescue unit from the Ashkelon station was dispatched to assist. According to the Fire and Rescue Service, teams from the Ashdod station are currently operating at the scene, coordinating with the specialized unit to extract the worker from the ship's hold. No details regarding the worker's medical condition have been released, and rescue operations remain ongoing.
